Tall Tailz Charters

We are Light tackle inshore and nearshore fishing charters, specializing in light tackle for multiple species.  Our charter boat is customized to suit the angler.

Inshore we can target species like tautog,  fluke, black sea bass, scup, striped bass, bluefish, squid, mackerel,  bonito and false albacore. Our charter fishing season starts in late  April to beginning of May with our long-awaited friends, Tautog.

The offshore fishing is weather and sea temperature dependent. Most of the pelagic species roll in with the warmer waters of the gulf stream. We’ll venture offshore anytime from June-October.

We also offer Shark fishing charters. We will typically get mako sharks, thresher sharks, porbeagles and blue sharks. Mako and  thresher sharks can be exceptionally fun to catch as they are known to  jump clear out of the water and put on incredible acrobatic feats.

Along with shark fishing charters on the nearshore grounds, we also target Tuna and other pelagics. Generally, the species we’ll encounter are  Bluefin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin, Jacks and Triggerfish. The  bluefin tuna we’ll come across are typically school to large sized fish.  We’ll target these fish by jigging, casting, chunking or trolling. You  never know what to expect on a nearshore Rhode Island fishing charter.

Lighthouse tours and sunset cruises are also available.
