Women's Therapy Center

Devoted to the treatment of vaginismus and to the overall genital, sexual, and emotional health of women. Women's Therapy Center was founded in 1996 with the intention of providing integrated, "wholistic" care for women's physical and emotional needs. Before combining their respective areas of specialty and establishing this distinctive team approach, our founders, Drs. Katz and Tabisel, were each a seasoned clinician with more than 20 years of experience. Patients were initially referred for therapy for sexual abuse, but it was later discovered that the majority of them had never been sexually molested and instead had been "estranged" from their genitalia due to vaginismus and/or dyspareunia. At that point, the Women's Therapy Center began to concentrate on the genital, emotional, and sexual health of women throughout their reproductive lives.
