Union County Medical Society Unclaimed

The Union County Medical Society Society was formed in 1869 to organize all the reputable physicians of Union County. The UCMS was formed to advance medical knowledge; to aid in broadening the field of preventive medicine and public hygiene and to so elevate and maintain professional standards in the County. Additionally, the organization was formed to serve the membership as an advocate for the physician/patient relationship.The Union County Medical Society represents the interests of patients and physicians in Union County in an ongoing effort to assure quality health care services for all. The county society provides resources for physicians, including continuing medical education, practice and professional guidelines, legal support, and a patient referral service. For the general public, the county medical society is a source for physician referrals and guidance on patient rights.
