Recognizing that most shoppers now carry smartphones, we recently completed development of a better way to get those shoppers to sellers’ websites and generate quality leads.

The product (Patent Pending) provides sellers with an SMS enabled phone number and can provide a virtually unlimited number of extensions, allowing them to advertise each product on a separate extension.

Buyers can then receive a link to the webpage of the product or service they are interested in by either: 1) texting the extension number, or 2) scanning the QR Code, or 3) calling the phone number and extension.

Each extension can respond to inquiries with an SMS containing a link to the webpage of the product or service. Sellers do no data entry.

Our product captures the buyer's cell phone number and sends that to the seller, along with the buyer's product interest, whether the buyer texts, calls or scans.

One application is with automobile dealers. The product lets them capture leads who are on their  lots after hours, or who read their print ads or watch their television commercials. Other applications are Realtors, manufactured home sellers, boat and RV dealers, small retail merchants, franchises and other businesses with multiple locations.

We are currently adding a feature that will allow sellers to advertise special offers but limit their exposure. For example, a dealer could advertise "Free car wash! The first 100 people who text "car wash" to 618-555-5555 will receive a free car wash."

Then the first 100 people who did so would receive an SMS that read "Show this message to Acme Ford, and you will receive one free car wash. Offer expires 09/01/ 2013. Not transferable." Everyone else would receive an SMS that read "Sorry. Your text message was not among the first 100 received. Better luck next time. Be sure to watch for other special offers from Acme Ford."

The product can also provide advertisers with multiple ways their advertising messages can be distributed to shoppers.
