We at Survival Adviser use recommendations from Red Cross, Federal Emergency Guidelines, State disaster emergency departments and various experts in the field of Survival to choose the best survival gear available today for all types of emergencies.
We advise having a plan already in place that deals with the type and level of emergency. The plan should include a type of survival gear and supplies (bug out bags, survival food, water filtration, water storage, emergency shelters, multi survival tools, emergency flashlights, thermal blankets, extra clothing, etc.) to deal with the emergency. You must have a knowledge of usage and enough survival supplies and survival tools for the duration of the emergency. FEMA and Red Cross recommend anywhere from 3 to 5 days.
