HOW WE STARTED

The Story Behind Student Circus

In 2016, our founders, Tripti Maheshwari and Dhruv Krishnaraj experienced the challenges of landing opportunities in a foreign land as international students. They realized fairly soon that the process isn’t easy for anyone involved, so they started Student Circus, a niche job search platform, with the vision to make hiring international students a seamless process for all stakeholders — universities, students, as well as employers. Since then, Student Circus has bloomed from being a job listing platform to a one-stop-shop for all career needs of international students. We are constantly adding more to our offering, from webinars and workshops to tailored career advice and employer insights. Partnering with the best universities and colleges globally, we are the fiercest advocates for international student careers.

2016

We launch a job search platform that filters out jobs that provide the Skilled Worker Visa (then called the Tier 2 Visa).

2017

Students across 18 universities are now using Student Circus to save time in their job search.

2018

Several students land internships, job interviews, and assessment centers by applying through the platform. Our co-founder bagged the International Alumni of the Year award at the PIEoneer Awards.

2019

We graduated from the L&P Business Growth Programme and were listed among the top platforms the Mayor of London selected under his Brexit Talent Toolkit for employers.

2020

Awarded the Business Resilience Fund by City University, Student Circus conducted over 128 webinars, spanning 15000 minutes of knowledge exchange, reaching out to around 6000 students.

2021

Having launched our new product, Jobs in Home Country, we started the year stamping global footprints through our partnership with Modul University, Vienna.
