ENHANCING SPIRITUALITY FOR SEEKERS AND SKEPTICS FOR MORE THAN 183 YEARS Silverside Church is a diverse congregation in every sense of the word.  We have no interest in orthodoxy; not surprisingly, then, the theological outlooks of those in our church family range from somewhat traditional-ish (though never dogmatic) to wildly liberal.  In some respect, nonetheless, we would all claim to be followers of Jesus of Nazareth. We have unfailing enthusiasm for the quality of spiritual journeys, which continue throughout our lives; and we love supporting one another on our various journeys toward truth, inner peace, and joy. As for permanent destinations...not so much. If you are looking for a spiritual home where you can be comfortable as you nourish your spiritual self, we would be delighted if you'd consider us; and we'd be even more delighted if you visited us at a Sunday morning Gathering or at any other scheduled activity.  You will be warmly welcomed by Silverside folk who once found themselves where you may be--wondering if there is a place for someone who longs for a healthy spirituality but who are just unable to handle typical churchy expectations that you believe or act on what makes no sense to you.  When they found us, they said, "Yes!"  If that is your experience, we will celebrate with you!
