MAC has been proactive in Manchester since its initiation and establishment in 1998, following concerns from Asian people, who felt that statutory social care support services are not culturally appropriate and were not addressing and/ or meeting the health and social care needs of Asian people. Hence, MAC was set-up with clear aims, to provide vital and complimentary health and social care support services specifically (but not exclusively) for Asian people in Manchester.
