Associated with Fulbright & Jaworski in 1972. Served in section then known as the Banking and Business Law section. In 1979 started firm as solo practitioner. In 1980 merged with another firm, composed of other attorneys who had left Fulbright & Jaworski, which became Gilpin, Maynard, Parsons, Pohl & Bennett. In 1987 became partner of spin-off firm, Gilpin, Pohl & Bennett. In 1988 became partner of another spin-off, Pohl & Bennett, which later merged with Mathews, Dunn, Arnold & Ellwood to become Pohl, Bennett & Mathews.
