Grimes Merch

With her latest album, Art Angels, set to drop this week, Grimes (aka Clare Boucher) is teasing it with an enticing line of merch. She’s designed a series of black-and-white t-shirts that feature freaky, alien and fairy illustrations.

She says the merch helps to support her and other independent artists. Every purchase you make puts money in their pockets and in the hands of black-owned businesses, which is critical because many artists don’t have access to capital.

No New Clothes

Three years after releasing her acclaimed album Art Angels, Grimes is ready to drop some new music. She’s been teasing it for months now, and she’s finally set to drop her first track this week.

To celebrate her new music, the singer-songwriter has launched a new merchandise line and online store. The t-shirts, stickers and other items in her collection feature otherworldly drawings by the artist. These include black-and-white alien-like fairies, Russian letters and other ethereal drawings.

You can purchase these items from a variety of independent artists on Redbubble, a site that lets you order custom artwork printed on quality products one at a time in socially responsible ways. For every Grimes shirt, sticker or other item you buy, a small amount of money goes into the artist’s pocket. This helps support their work, and you’ll be helping them make a living. That’s cool. You’ll also be supporting the environment, as many of the shirts are made from vintage tees.
