Green House Plastic

UV resistance is one of the most important features that distinguishes a 4-year greenhouse cover from regular plastic film. Standard plastic left outdoors will quickly become brittle, yellowed, and fragile when exposed to direct sunlight because UV radiation breaks down the chemical bonds in the material. This leads to tearing, cracking, and holes that disrupt temperature control in the greenhouse. However, greenhouse covers designed for multiple years include UV stabilizers within the plastic itself, meaning they continue to perform even under continuous sun exposure. This resistance also protects crops inside the greenhouse from fluctuating temperatures because the cover maintains structural integrity and light quality. When a cover stays clear and strong, it ensures the greenhouse remains insulated and stable for multiple growing seasons. The improved longevity not only reduces replacement costs but also prevents interruptions in growing cycles that might occur if a cover fails unexpectedly. UV protection is therefore not simply a durability feature but a key component in keeping the entire greenhouse environment balanced and productive.
