Goodwill Manasota is a nonprofit organization operating thrift stores, donation centers, and community resource services, all of which serve the mission of “Changing Lives Through the Power of Work.”

Through the sales of donated goods — clothing, household items, furniture, etc. — and through philanthropic support, Goodwill Manasota funds and operates a variety of programs designed to help people overcome barriers to employment and self-sufficiency.

Key offerings include:

Job training and skills development equip people to gain stable jobs and build careers.

Free career-related services and job placement support: through the “Job Connection” program, which helps with résumé writing, interview preparation, and job matching.

Specialized support to veterans and their families provides vocational services, case management, and social services support for veterans while transitioning into civilian life.

Support for persons with disabilities or other employment barriers through on-the-job coaching, training, and long-term job support, using programs such as "GoodPartner Coach" and "Supported Jobs Plus."

Community-oriented reuse and sustainability: through the resale of donated items in thrift stores, the organization promotes reuse, reduces waste, and provides the community with affordably priced goods.

Goodwill Manasota believes in giving people a "hand up, not a hand‑out."
