Founded on June 6, 1948, by Boyd Piper, Sr. and Bernard Hains, the company began by filling small perfume bottles and steadily expanded into cans and collapsible tube packaging. In 1960, Boyd Piper, Sr. became the sole owner, and two years later the company moved from Camp Washington to Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine area, supporting continued growth and new capabilities.

In 1984, under the leadership of Boyd Piper, Jr., Bernard Laboratories relocated to Cincinnati’s Northside, allowing the company to further strengthen its services and better support customers worldwide. Today, ownership has passed to Ryan Piper, the third generation of the Piper family, who continues the legacy of high-quality production, fair pricing, and reliable service.
