A renovated 1920s appliance store is home to Barley’s Taproom in Asheville,
North Carolina. This is the Original Barley’s that opened in 1994. Located
at 42 Biltmore Avenue, the 8,000 square foot space is in the heart of the
arts and entertainment district. The main floor houses the restaurant and a
stage for live music. At Barley’s in Asheville, fresh sourdough pizza,
lasagna, and sandwiches are served up daily. The stage showcases live
bluegrass, jazz, and Americana music 2-3 nights a week with no cover
charge. You can also catch Dr. Brown’s Team Trivia every Wednesday night.
The downstairs bar has 28 taps featuring the region’s best selection of
American craft brewed beers. Upstairs is the Billiard Room with four
regulation slate billiard tables that are available by the hour. Five
regulation dart lanes are available for private and tournament play also.
An additional 29 taps are highlighted at the upstairs bar. Barley’s Taproom
in downtown Asheville, NC has been recognized as “Best Taproom in the
South” in Southern Draught Beer News and picked a “Top Tap in the South” by
Celebrator Beer Magazine.
