Cristina is a trained and licensed massage therapist. She graduated from the Swedish Institute in New York City for Western styles of massage. She also received formal training in Ayurvedic massage at the Institute of Indian Medicine in Pune, India. In Thailand, she studied Thai massage at Thai School of Massage, and the Loi Kroh Massage School, both in Chang Mai, the cultural center in the north of Thailand. She also is trained in Colonic Irrigation Therapy from the Helen Wood Hygiene Institute in Kissimmee, Florida, and has studied yoga and pilates. From this training, Cristina became the co-director of the National Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine in New York from 1995 to 2002. She is regarded as one of the first and most experienced Ayurvedic massage therapists in the New York City area.
