Arlo Support

Netgear Arlo Setup : If you have purchased Netgear Arlo security cameras, it is time to for you to learn how to set them up. But first, you must first create an Arlo Netgear login ID. In order to create an account, just download the Arlo app from Google play store or Apple store and install it. Once installed, open the app and select the option to create an account. You can create an Arlo pro login account Arlo pro2 by giving your email address and creating a password. The email itself acts as your Arlo Netgear login ID. Once this is done, provide any kind of verification if asked. And with that, you have successfully created an account from which you can sign in and then configure your cameras or watch the saved camera footage anytime you want. Alternatively, you can also register an Arlo account through their website https://arlo.netgear.com.

Netgear Arlo Base Station Setup : Before doing anything else, we have to first complete the Arlo base station setup. First, plug in the Ethernet cord to the base station and wait for it to connect to the internet. The lights on the base station will light up to show when the internet has been connected to the system.

Then take the Arlo cameras and put 4 lithium ion batteries in each of them. The batteries are provided with the products and they are rechargeable. A single charge with those batteries can power the camera for up to 4 to 5 months. Once the batteries are loaded, you fill find that there are buttons on each of the cameras and the base station. They are for syncing the cameras with the Netgear Arlo base system. Press them and wait for them to sync. Lights will start to blink on the base station and will keep blinking to show that the syncing process is taking place. Once the lights stop blinking, it means that all the cameras and the base station are synced. Once that is done, mount the camera into the mounting brackets that are also provided with the product package. Mounting the cameras on the brackets is extremely easy as these brackets are highly magnetic in nature. They will sturdily hold the camera with magnetic force at any angle. But, you must make sure that those magnetic brackets are firmly fixed to the wall in order to prevent any falling of the brackets themselves. Putting the Arlo cameras on brackets isn’t necessary for them to work however. The cameras can just be put on a surface and it will work just as fine. So do not worry if you are unable to fix the camera on a wall. And with this, the Arlo base station setup is complete. For further assitance contact our arlo support team.
