ALENSKA, based in London, UK, was founded in 2005 by two Russian women.

As young girls in the former Soviet Union, we were brought up with a love and respect for a national industry that continues to produce up to 90% of the world's linen. Their memories of treasured family pieces that had been handed down through generations stand testament to their passion for a culture and a product that still leads the world in quality and intricacy of design.

Flax, the raw material for linen, has been farmed in Russia and its former republics for thousands of years and it embraces a respect for natural cultivation that requires little in the way of pesticides and fertilisers. ALЁNSKA also uses easy-care treatments and natural finishes to bring you the very softest, finest products.
