South Shields Surf CIC

We're a non-profit surf school offering lessons and equipment hire in surfing, paddle board, body board, snorkelling. We also offer beach schools and rockpooling sessions. We also provide lifeguard and instructor training. Our aim is to make being active and engaging with the beach and ocean as accessible as possible so that everyone can benefit from the positive mental and physical impact of being active on our coast. We offer sessions to individuals and groups, and we can cater for private groups, schools, community groups, people with disabilities and additional needs. We run numerous projects to promote activity at the coast working with people with disabilities, veterans, children with SEMH and SEN needs, adults with wellbeing needs, women's groups, minority ethnic groups, people from lower socio-economic backgrounds . We are actively trying to engage with groups that aren't accessing the coast as much as others.
